Detective Superintendent Gavin Dengate said it was ecstasy that largely found in the festival.

Before the operation, police department had urged the visitors to have fun “safely” and enjoy themselves “within the law” at the festival held over the weekend.

Thousands of visitors attended the over-18’s festival with over 80 performers scheduled to entertain the revelers.

“This isn’t a BYO event. There will be plenty of bars to buy drinks inside the venue and we will confiscate all alcohol outside the gates,” Det Supt Dengate said prior to the operation.

“Anyone who brings drugs with them can expect to be caught.”

Even though the visitors said that it was recreational drugs that they took, the police did not give a darn about it.

“Recreational drugs are not only illegal, they are also dangerous and potentially life-threatening. They are especially dangerous when mixed with alcohol,” the authorities said after declared that they would not “tolerate any behaviour that will ruin the day for others.”
